About Us

Savithri Devi Memorial Charitable Trust was established in 2010 in the memory of Late Mrs. Savithri Devi who was the wife of the renowned freedom fighter and ex-INA soldier Sri U Sunder Rao. She passed away on 20th April 2005 at the age of 71. She is survived by her 3 married daughters. This trust is lead by Mrs.Latha Rao, her 2nd daughter.

The objective of the trust is to empower the poor and needy to be self-reliant and make a decent living for them. Also, the trust aims to provide medical assistance to the patients who are under privileged. It also helps the differently abled people, provides free scholarships for the deserving students from the underprivileged sections of the society, runs old age homes and helps establishing orphanages in main stream.
